CGf. Sarah MALTBY, b. Nov. 10, 1729 (Sam. 2, Wm. 1). m. May 30, 1753, Colonel Edward RUSSELL of Branford, Conn. (Branford Rec. p.105). (Trowbridge Gen. p. 41) "Capt. Edward RUSSELL was a son of John and Mary (BARKER) RUSSELL; grandson of Lieut. John and Sarah (TROWBRIDGE) RUSSELL. Edward was b. Aug. 19, 1733 and d. Dec. 26, 1819. He was in the 5th Battalion Wadsworth's Brigade: Col. Douglas Regt. 1776. Sarah died in 1825. The RUSSELLs claim to be connected with Judge RUSSELL of Cromwell's time.
